Set within the stunning Lincolnshire Wolds, our farm holiday experiences provide a glimpse into our traditional farming life while ensuring you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Working Farm Accommodation with Heritage

What sets our accommodation apart from rural hotels, is the living, breathing agricultural environment that surrounds us. At The Grange, farming isn’t just our background – it’s our passion and our heritage. Five generations of our family have worked this land with each one adding their own chapter to our farm’s story whilst maintaining the traditional values and methods that make farming such a rewarding way of life.

You’ll wake up each morning to the sounds of farm life – the cattle, the free-range chickens and the peaceful sound of a landscape that has remained largely unchanged for centuries. This isn’t a sanitised version of farming designed for tourists, it’s the real thing!

Our working farm accommodation includes B&B rooms in our Georgian farmhouse and self-catering cottages that have been converted from the original 1820s stable buildings. Each option allows you to experience farm life at your own pace, whether you prefer the full-service of a B&B or the independence of preparing your own meals using fresh local produce.

Farm Holiday Experiences

The beauty of a farm holiday lies in the educational opportunities that arise naturally from daily farm activities. Our award-winning farm trail has been designed to showcase the diverse wildlife, traditional farming practices and conservation efforts that make our farm special.

The changing seasons bring different aspects of farm life to the forefront. Spring offers the excitement of new life as lambs and calves are born, whilst summer showcases our crops. Autumn brings harvest time and the satisfaction of gathering the year’s produce, whilst winter provides quieter moments to appreciate the landscape’s beauty and observe wildlife that becomes more visible when crops have been harvested.

Children particularly benefit from farm holiday experiences as they can discover where food comes from and develop an appreciation for the hard work that goes into producing the ingredients we often take for granted. Our free-range chickens, friendly farm animals and accessible farm trail create natural learning opportunities that are both educational and entertaining.

The Lincolnshire Wolds: Perfect Setting for Farm Stays

The Lincolnshire Wolds provide the ideal backdrop for a farm holiday. It combines agricultural land with an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that recognises the region’s wonderful landscape and its value. This unique combination means our holiday guests enjoy both authentic working farm experiences and access to some of England’s most beautiful countryside.

From The Grange, you can easily explore the historic city of Lincoln which has a cathedral and castle. There are many market towns to explore such as Louth and Horncastle, or venture to the sandy beaches on the Lincolnshire coast. Although many guests find themselves reluctant to stray too far from the farm as they enjoy the trail, fishing lake and the relaxing atmosphere.

Sustainable Tourism Through Farm Stays

Choosing a Lincolnshire farm stay supports sustainable tourism that benefits local communities and preserves traditional ways of life. Your stay directly contributes to maintaining working farms, supporting local food producers and keeping countryside skills alive for the future generations. The ingredients for your breakfast come from our own land or neighbouring farms and this reduces food miles whilst ensuring you freshness and flavour.

Our commitment to sustainable farming practices means that you’re supporting conservation efforts that protect wildlife habitats, maintain traditional field boundaries and preserve the landscape that makes the Lincolnshire Wolds so special. It’s tourism with a purpose – providing you with a memorable experience whilst contributing positively to the rural economy and environment.
